The good news is that
if one of your blogs/pages are removed, it doesn't
mean that all of your pages will be. If you have 50
to 100 pages built, then I guess it isn't the end of
the world if one disappears. You can always build
more to replace it.I
don't like losing control over my assets and that is
why I generally use the Blogger and HubPages sites
for search engine optimization (SEO) purposes only.
You can learn more about SEO in that section of this
site. If you build your Adsense sites with these
platforms, then please do it as a temporary way to
start quickly, and understand that it is not the
ideal way to go about it.
Building Your Own
Adsense Site
I prefer to build my Adsense sites under my own
domain names, and on my own servers. If you do not
have the knowledge to accomplish this, then it
probably all sounds very intimidating. I assure you
it isn't. These are very simple sites and they can
easily be built using any web editing software.
There is one thing I feel very
strongly about and that is that if you intend to
develop a web business, then you are going to have
to learn to build at least a simple website. I know
many people will tell you differently, but I
respectfully disagree. When I first started I tried
it their way and it didn't work for me. It was only
after I learned to build my own sites that I started
making real money online. If you can't build the
sites yourself than you will be paying people to do
it for you. One way or another you are going to need
your own sites.
I have produced a video training package that will
teach you everything you need to know to build your
sites and take them live to the world wide web. I
call it
The Spin Your Web Video Training Series. I
believe this to be the best training for this type
of thing, but of course I am biased though.
Adsense Site
Design
While the layout of these
sites is simple, there is definitely a strategy to
the design. Ad placement is critical. You have the
option to place multiple ad blocks on your page. The
blocks are available in various configurations and
you can see samples of each one on the Adsense site.
I have created a sample
Adsense page for you to take a look at. You will
note that there is a headline at the top of the
page. I didn't use any sort of header graphic
because I am building an "ugly" site remember? If
you insist on making your site pretty and using a
graphic header, I would advise that you keep it very
simple as to not distract attention from your ads. I
simply created a cell with a colored background and
entered the headline text in the cell.
The next thing you see is my
first ad block. It is a horizontal ad black and runs
across the page directly under the headline. I am
hoping the visitor sees an ad that gets their
attention and that they immediately click on it. If
that doesn't happen then they will move down the
page to read my article.
I position the article below
the first ad block with another ad block off in the
right column of the page. This time I used a
vertical ad block. I have given the visitor plenty
of opportunities to click away from my site via the
ads. When that happens I get paid and it is mission
accomplished.
You may download a template of
the sample page if you like. There is no optin or
shinnanigans required. It's yours to use as you see
fit. I have also produced a quick video to show you
how the template is edited.

Ninja Adsense
Tactics
The sample I showed to you is
an Adsense page in it's purest form. Many of us have
done a great deal of testing on various page designs
for Adsense. One of the absolute best training
packages I have seen for Adsense site design is
Michael Cheney's Adsense Videos presentation. He
shows you his site design tactics and explains why
they work. I promise that much of Michael's stuff
will blow your mind and I recommend you take a look
at it.
It's All About
Volume
There is no doubt that the
Google Adsense model is a very viable method of
making money online. It can be highly profitable if
you build enough properties. By properties I simply
mean blogs, pages or sites. Please understand that
you are not going to get rich from any single page.
I consider a page successful if it makes fifty cents
to a dollar a day. Peanuts right? Yes it is, but
what if I have several hundred pages?
At even twenty five cents income a day average per
page, 200 pages can earn you fifty bucks a day. If
you set your mind to it and focus you can build a
couple hundred pages in pretty short order. You
could speed up the process if you outsourced the
article writing end of it. You do not need high
quality articles so you should be able to get
articles written for three bucks or so each.
If you are going to make real
money with Adsense then it's all about the volume.
Perhaps the best part about the Adsense business
model is that it represents a very passive income
stream for you. Once these sites are built and you
have a little bit of traffic coming to them, there
is nothing else that you need to do to keep them
earning. It is also a process that you can outsource
completely on the cheap. Just supply your outsourced
helpers with the template and tell them to build!
A Precautionary
Word
Now that I have filled your
head with visions of easy Adsense income, I need to
offer a word of caution. I mentioned earlier that
building your sites on someone else's
platform/server (ie: blogger.com or HubPages)
carries risk. Many will say that I am paranoid for
even bringing this to your attention, but I feel it
is necessary.
When you are a participant of the Adsense program
you are at the mercy of Google. This means that only
they determine if you continue to be a program
participant or not. There are numerous reports from
those that have apparently had their Adsense
accounts closed for reasons that were undisclosed by
Google.
I do not know anybody
personally that claims to have had this happen. But
I have read/heard reports from other reputable
people that make this claim. In almost every case
they claim that Big G made no explanation for the
account closings, and that they were following the
Adsense terms of service. This has always been a
little unsettling to me.
This is why I recommend that
you do not put all of your eggs in the Adsense
basket. Use Adsense as just one of your multiple
streams of income. Go out and build yourself as many
pages as it takes to reach your income goal, and
then take a step back. Move on to develop other
income streams such as an affiliate income and then
eventually even developing your own informational
products to market. For the ultimate control over
your assets you are going to want to market your own
products from your own websites on your own servers.
I can't say it any more plainly than that. I really
hope you take my advice on that.
With all of this being said, I
do believe any risk you face with the Adsense model
is minimal and that it is a worthwhile investment of
your efforts. The low cost of entry and the speed at
which you can make it happen, in my opinion makes it
a great way to start your online business. Make sure
you read and adhere to the Adsense TOS and you
should not have any problems.
