Anchor Text
Links
As I stated, one of the
benefit of using blogs in your marketing is to send
traffic to your money sites. The reason it is
possible to use blogs to send traffic to your site
is because Google loves blogs and ranks them highly
in their search engine results pages (SERPS). You
may even find that your blogs are ranking higher
than your money sites.
So let's break this down
further. We'll go back to the dog trick site to do
this. Maybe you have discovered 50 keywords that you
want use to market this site. You then setup 50
Blogger blogs and optimize each blog with one main
keyword or keyword phrase. This means that your keyword will be in the
title of the blog, the title of your initial post in
the blog, mentioned in your post a couple of times
and then linked back to your site using an anchor
text with the keyword(s) you chose for that blog.
The keyword will also be in the url that Blogger
assigns to that blog.
Here is an example of an anchor text link;

Your Dog to Sit
If that site exists, I just
gave them a free backlink. If a visitor clicked on
either of those links, they would end up at the same
place. But the anchor text simply displays the
keyword phrase I want to use for the site which is
"Teach Your Dog to Sit". So that particular
blog would have an article about teaching a dog to
sit. It would be just enough information to grasp
the visitors interest and entice them to click
through to my money site where I would attempt to
sell them my dog trick guide.
The anchor text is optimized
for that keyword, where as the url link is not. The
anchor text builds strength in the link and has the
potential to further increase the rankings of my
money site for that keyword. An anchor text carries
more weight in the search engines for your keyword
than the regular url link will. Be sure to use
anchor text backlinks when possible.
Automating Your
Blogs Now here is
the beauty of setting up a blog network to feed your
money sites traffic. Once they are setup, they can
be set on AUTOPILOT. I mentioned that many
developers are creating plugins for the WordPress
blogs. One such plugin is called
Caffeinated Content. This plugin will
automatically populate your blog with blog posts
based on the keyword(s) you input into the script.
Let's say the topic of your blog
is dog training. You simply tell the script how many
posts you want to add to your blog and it will go
out and scan your choice of article directories or
Yahoo Answers to find the posts populate your blog.
Want to add some video posts to your blog?
Caffeinated Content will also automatically go to
You Tube and find videos based on your keyword and
add those videos to your blog. I do both articles
and videos for a good mix.
Want to automate posts to your
blog? You select a date into the future and the
script will continue to make blog posts to your blog
until that date. Every time a new post is made, it
is automatically pinged and therefore receives new
attention from the search engine robots. This means
that your blog receives a little bit more authority
with each new post, which increases the value of the
anchor text link in that blog, which leads back to
your money site. This
script is a bit on the pricey side at $77. But I can
tell you without a doubt that it is some of the best
money I have ever spent on my internet marketing
business. Think about how effective it would be to
have your anchor text link on an absolute army of
blogs out there that are constantly receiving posts
and being pinged. This is very powerful folks.
Summary
Build your product sales pages,
landing pages, affiliate review sites or whatever
type of site that fits your business model, and then
shoot the juice to it with a network of blogs that
each link back to your money site. These backlinks
will serve to improve your rankings in the SERPS. If
your offer is optimized to convert then you will
undoubtedly see increased sales because of the
volume of traffic you will receive from a top
ranking. Blogs are very easy to setup and there is
an abundance of plugin applications that allow you
to tailor your blogs to fit your needs.
